Kenshin wandered around Triton Keep for a couple of hours upon arriving. He examined the walls, and counted how many Knights patrol them. He was preparing to assassinate Hyru Ganshi, a Lord of the house of Vanshion. Another lord who wants Hyru’s land hired him. Kenshin accepted the job, one because if he killed Hyru he would be paid handsomely, and second he needed money and was bored. As he looked over the keep examining everything, looking for possible escape roots if something went wrong, and how many Knights were guarding certain areas, he made his way to the mansion of Hyru. Upon arriving he was surprised at how many knights stood guard around, and in the mansion. Kenshin decided to wait until nightfall, everything is easier at night.
When nighttime came Kenshin changed into his black ninja clothes, and strapped on his weapons, and concealed a few. As he approached the mansion he became as quiet as the wind, his black clothes blending in with the black night. When he was on the side of the mansion he pulled his grappling hook out from his pack. Unrolling the rope he started to swing it around, when it was swinging fast enough he throw it upwards letting the rope slide through his hands until the last moment, then grapping the rope he pulled, the hook fell and caught the side of the building. He climbed up the side of the building and hid the grapple back into his pack. Kenshin looked around and found a window, he skillfully cut the glass with his razor sharp Tantos (daggers). Pulling the grapple back out he propelled down from the ceiling, and into the dinning room of the mansion. He quickly climbed the flights of stairs and searched the house until he found Hyru’s room. As he approached the bed he pulled his hand claws out from a hidden pocket, putting them on he wrapped his arm around Hyru’s neck and woke him up. “What the…” he said groggily as he tried to fully wake up. Upon feeling cold sharp steel on his neck he looked up and saw only black, but heard the whispers of death.
“I want you to tell me where you keep your gold,” the voice said quietly.
“Why should I tell you,” Hyru responded.
“Because it could mean the difference between a fast death or slow painful one,” Kenshin said as he dug the claws into Hyru’s flesh.
“Alright I’ll tell you, its in the bank in the town, I only keep enough money to pay the knights,” he said looking at the claws the gleamed in the moonlight.
“Good, good, now I’m am sorry but I must complete my mission if I wish to get paid,” Kenshin said, and then slit Hyru’s throat. He laid him back into his bed and left the room. On his way out he saw that the knights were patrolling the way he came in, “shit, now I have to find another way out,” he said to himself as he looked for way out. While he was looking he forgot to look around, and stumbled over a bucket making enough noise to wake the whole mansion. As the nights came running over to the noise Kenshin stood up and ran for the front door, the knight who was guarding it was taken by complete surprise when Kenshin slammed through the door. He made his way through the forest and into the town. He stopped to catch his breath, and was about to leave the town to tell his employer of his success when he was spotted by someone.
“Wait sir,” the man said, “we need some help, a demon has been spotted and we’re short on demon hunters, only a few of them are battling the demon, I was sent to gather as many fighters as possible.”
“Where is the demon at,” Kenshin asked hiding in the shadows.
“By the north gate.”
“Then I’ll be off,” Kenshin said running past the man towards the north gate.
