Andrew pushed the gas pedal down even more; he could feel the jeep accelerate. He went over the dune, the jeep soaring through the air for a few seconds. When he landed back on the ground the jeep rocked back and forth, and Andrew was a little shaken up. He was heading towards a small town to refuel, and buy some more supplies before continuing in his search for the ancient treasure, well what he thought to be treasure. Others laughed at some of the things he brought back. For example, the jeep he is driving now, he found it and restored it, adding a few minor changes. Andrew is tall for his age, he is about six-teen, his eye’s dark blue, and hair dirty blonde and around his ears, and he is tan from being in the desert for the last few weeks.
The year is 2999; the people of earth have left, for the exception of those who wanted to stay. We have colonized many planets, the moon, mars, and others out in the galaxy. Andrew, like many, come and goes as he pleases. Traveling to Earth in his ship, searching for lost treasure from the past and restoring them. Recently though, a company started to restore Earth and started making rules, like you have to buy a permit to travel to Earth, so it has been harder for him to come here, but he doesn’t mind just as long as he can get here. Andrew has found many things in his searches, and because he has found all of this “treasure”, he bought a piece of land from the company and built a house o store all of his possessions in.
However, he had to put up a strong security system to protect his possessions, many bandits live on Earth, most of them either trapped here or ran here from crimes and hid on Earth. Like most who live on Earth or stay for long periods, Andrew carries many assortments of weapons, everything from a small knife to a small plasma cannon launcher. He even carries old weapons from the past. ‘They’re most peculiar things’ he thought to himself, ‘they fire out small metal spheres.’ Andrew had never seen anything like it until he saw that.
Flying over some more sand dunes in the desert, Andrew spotted the small town just over the horizon; he concluded that he would be there by nightfall.

When he arrived, the town was in a bustle, all the markets and shops were open, it was a cool dusk and they wanted to get every minute of it before night came. At night temperatures dropped below freezing and the wind made it worse. He pulled up to a small building and asked the person who worked there to fill up his jeep with fuel. When the man looked over at the vehicle, the most curious look came over his face, but before he could ask, Andrew vanished from site and headed over to the local tavern. He wasn’t worried about anyone stealing his jeep, it would only start and drive away if Andrew’s hands touched the steering wheel no one else could drive it, just one of the features he added to it. Upon entering the tavern, he took note of how many people were there. Finding a seat in the back he ordered a drink and sat back and relaxed.
When it was completely dark and the tavern keep was closing for the night Andrew headed out towards his jeep. As he stepped outside the cold air hit him like a rock, but before he could, even turn around to try to go back inside the tavern keep slammed the door shut. “Nice fellow aint he,” Andrew said to himself as he turned back around. He hurriedly ran back to his jeep, opened up a small compartment and pulled out a special suit, which he put on. When he pushed a few buttons on the armband, the jacket started to heat up, heating Andrew up instantly. He got back in his jeep and started to drive around trying to find a hotel that he could stay at. After driving for some time and not finding one, he was about to give up when out in the distance he saw one. He drove towards it, but as he got closer, bandits jumped him surrounding his jeep and forcing him to stop. Andrew knew he could just run them over, but he did not like to kill when it was not necessary. He stepped out of his car and stared at one of the bandits.
“What are ‘ye staring at?” He said with a heavy accent, Andrew almost laughed when he heard the man spoke. He had to concentrate very hard not to.
“Why did you stop me?” Andrew asked in return.
“Why we didn’t stop ya, you stopped on your own we was just walkin along the road.” The man said with a smirk on his face, and again Andrew had to contain himself form laughing.
“Well you should know better then to walk around outside at night, didn’t your mothers teach you better?” Andrew responded with a smirk on his face also.
“You Best watch your tongue boy.” The man said in an angry tone.
“Oh, what’s this did a strike a bone in your hard shell?” Andrew asked in a mocking tone. The man suddenly jumped at him pulling a jagged knife out from a hidden spot. Andrew had to jump to the side to avoid being cut; he quickly got to his feet and ran to his jeep to grab something he could use to fight the bandits with. However, before he could reach his jeep he was cut off by the other bandits. One through a punch at him, Andrew dodged it but was not watching for the other guys and was hit in the side by a fist. Andrew fell to the ground and started to be kicked by the bandits. However, not seen by the bandits Andrew pulled out something from his jacket. It was a sonic grenade, and they did not notice it until he pulled the pen and the beeping noise associated with the sonic grenades started to beep. They stopped kicking him and looked down when held out the grenade they all looked at him as if he was insane.
“You wouldn’t.” One said.
“Why wouldn’t I? I’ll just be killed by you if I don’t.” Andrew said and started to stand. He was shaking badly from the beating he sustained. The bandits looked at him, did not want to take the chance so they turned around, and ran. Was they were gone from site Andrew dropped the grenade, but instead of going off in a loud bang, it just laughed at him.
“I love novelty toys.” He said to himself as he picked it up and walked over to what looked like a pharmacy tent.

“You should really watch who you talk to.” Came a lovely voice from inside the tent. Andrew looked up and saw a girl in tan pants, a dark blue tank top, and her hair in a ponytail standing just inside the tent, just out of reach from the cold wind.
“But I like my friends.” Said Andrew sarcastically. The girl just smirked at him, and he smiled back.
“Why don’t you come inside, warm up, and treat those injuries?” She said and turned to walk back inside.
“First tell me your name.” Andrew said still standing in the same spot, shivering. His jacket was not doing a good job of keeping him warm as he thought it would.
“My name is Sorena. And what might yours be?” She asked him, smiling with a sweet innocent smile.
“My name is Andrew.” He said, and then started to walk inside the tent. “You know you have a very pretty smile.” He said was he was beside her. He did not look at her when he said it, but she looked at him when he said.
Once inside the tent, Andrew treated his injuries and warmed up a bit. It was still cold in there but not as cold as he would be out there. After he warmed up and he rechecked his injuries and started to look around, check the place out. He noticed many objects pharmacies would not normally have, treasure-hunting gear for one. Andrew thought it strange but did not ask about it, he was too tired at the moment and he was in pain.
